Educational Opportunities
(groups meet in person and virtually)

Gloria Dei offers many different opportunities for adults to grow in their faith. These groups vary in terms of time, subject, size. Listed below are a few opportunities:

the Bible Year: For 2023-2024, Gloria Dei will focus on reading through the Bible following this popular devotional book. Pick your book up at the Welcome Table and take up
this wonderful opportunity. On Sundays (beginning on Rally Sunday – September 10), the pastors will preach on the scripture passages, and on Thursdays, 6:30pm a class will be taught by Pastor David.
If you miss a class, don’t worry, join in when you are able. This will take place in Bankson Hall. To see the particular handouts, click here:

L&L (Lunch and Learn) – On some Sundays, 11:00am, a different professor, speaker, teacher leads a forum while a lunch is served. See the newsletter for details or call the office to speak with Pastor David:(pastordavid@mygloriadei.org).

G.I.F.T. Groups (Growing in Faith Together) – Our GIFT groups continue to meet this year with a variety of Bible study themes. One group is beginning their series on the Book of Ecclesiastes, another will be studying Life Principles of New Testament Men of Faith, and another is looking at the writings of C.S. Lewis. Study books are available at each group gathering or check with one of the pastors.  Please check the church newsletter or Sunday worship bulletin for current meeting dates and locations.

The Bethel Bible Series – Bethel is a 2 year overview of Scripture with the first year covering the Old Testament and the second year covering the New Testament. Contact the church office for when a new class will begin or for more details.

The Early Morning Study – The first and third Wednesday of each month this group meets at 7am for breakfast and a Bible study led by one of the pastors. Location: R.J.’s restaraunt. Contact the church office for more details.
