Dear Gloria Dei family

Wednesday worship…

We continue our Lenten worship schedule on Wednesday at 7pm, soup supper at 6pm.
I’ve enjoyed a more detailed, intense look at the “Stations of the Cross.” It’s slowed me down to contemplate in a deeper way each step of Jesus, each step towards the cross, each step towards Easter and finally hope.
One of my favorite authors (in a ghoulish way) is Stephen King who wrote recently about the rock group, “The Who”:
“Remember when The Who sang “Hope I die before I get old?” They’re now scheduled to play an extended gig in Vegas.”
Old rock and rollers don’t die, they head to Las Vegas or Old Coachella. The truth is, we don’t get to decide about those things, many of the most important things in life and death – but the One who hold Life in His hands can be trusted, because of the cross.
Join me in saying “thank You” on Wednesday.
See you Wednesday,
Pastor David

The New Organ

Gloria Dei’s New Organ

We are still receiving gifts to pay for the new organ, which is being built in Pennsylvania and will be a three manual French style console.

To the left is a progress picture of the console.

The pipes are solid zinc which will look stunning reflecting the colors from the stained glass. We have been blessed to have Hanna Lee as our organist and she is excited to play this new instrument.

We have tentatively scheduled a “Bach Festival” for the Dedication weekend (Saturday, May 6? for concert and party).

More details will be forthcoming
