College Group/Ministry

Dave Sleighter, College Group Leader and Youth Director writes:

BELIZE TRIP 2010 (Aug. 1-8)

Where will we primarily be working?

We will be working in San Ignacio, Belize.  San Ignacio is located approximately 3 hours west of Belize City on the Western Hwy; we will be traveling through Belmopan (capitol of Belize).

What is the population?

The population of Belize is roughly 300,000.  The approximate population of the San Ignacio community is 26,000.

What ministries will we do?

VBS is a popular ministry opportunity here as up to 200 kids will attend.  Work projects on the church will most likely include ceiling work, lighting, tiling in the Sunday school room, and fence repair; all done at the church site.  Additional details will be communicated soon including specific projects and accompanying cost estimates.  There will also be opportunity for relational ministry, evangelism in the community etc.
